1. Working principle of CIC-D300+ type ion chromatograph

Based on the principle of ion exchange, the CIC-D300+ ion chromatograph separates the ion components in the sample through a chromatographic column and uses a detector (such as a conductance detector) to determine the ion concentration. Its core is the ion exchange resin in the chromatographic column. Different ions have different affinities with the resin, thereby achieving separation. The eluent carries the sample through the chromatographic column, and the separated ions enter the detector in turn, generating signals and converting them into chromatograms for qualitative and quantitative analysis. This instrument is widely used in ion detection in the fields of environment, food, medicine, etc.

 

In an ion chromatograph, the principle of separation is separated based on the reversible exchange between the dissociable ions on the ion exchange resin and the solute ions with the same charge in the mobile phase and the difference in the affinity of the analyte solute to the exchanger. Taking anion separation as an example, after the sample solution is injected, ion exchange is performed directly with the ion exchange position of the analysis column, that is, it is retained on the column. If NaOH is used as the leachate to analyze F⁻, Cl⁻ and SO₄²⁻ in the sample, the anions remaining on the column will be replaced by the OH⁻ group in the leachate and eluted from the column. Analyte ions with weak affinity for resin are eluted in sequence before analyte ions with strong affinity for resin. This is the separation process of ion chromatography.

 

The effluent passes through a chemical inhibitor (in inhibitory ion chromatography) to minimize the background conductance from the effluent, so that when the analyte leaves and enters the conductivity cell, there is a large accurately measured conductivity signal, thereby achieving qualitative and quantitative analysis of the ions in the sample.

Multi-directional safety assurance system: The equipment has functions such as leaching liquid dosage alarm, leakage alarm, low-pressure alarm, overpressure alarm, fault alarm, and misoperation alarm.
