Reagent-free ion chromatography is mainly based on the principle of ion exchange chromatography. The core component of its instrument is filled with resin with specific functional bases, which can undergo reversible exchange reaction with ions in the solution. After the sample enters the ion exchange column, the retention time of different ions in the column is different due to different affinity with the resin, thereby achieving separation. The separated ions are carried out by the eluent onto the column, and when passed through the detector, they are converted into electrical signals or other measurable signals, and chromatograms and analysis reports are generated by the data processing system.

 

The "reagent-free" characteristics of this method mainly stem from the leachate generator technology. Taking the common hydroxide system as an example, through electrochemical reactions, the instrument can produce the required concentration of hydroxide leaching liquid online by simply passing pure water, achieving isometric or gradient elution, eliminating the cumbersome operation of manual preparation of leaching liquid and avoiding the test error caused by human factors.

The H⁺ or OH⁻ generated from electrolysis can be used to generate acidic or alkaline leachate online, which saves time for manual leachate, improves work efficiency, and avoids the errors that may occur in manual leachate.

 

Built-in low-pressure degassing module: can remove bubble interference in the leachate and make the test more stable.
